Hinges (from Fun4Kids.blogspot.com)
(from LDS primary song book pg.277)
I’m all made of hinges ‘cause everything bends.

From the top of my neck way down to my ends.
I’m hinges in front, and I’m hinges in back;
But I have to have hinges, or else I would crack!

So early Tuesday morning.
This is the way we scrub the floor,
We scrub the floor, we scrub the floor.

So early Wednesday morning.
This is the way we mend our clothes,
We mend our clothes, we mend our clothes.
This is the way we mend our clothes,
So early Thursday morning.
This is the way we sweep the house,
We sweep the house, we sweep the house.
This is the way we sweep the house,
So early Friday morning.

2. Explore size and weight.
3.  Ask children to make a ‘basket’ by crossing their legs.
(tune:  Bumpin’ Up and Down)

Sticky Sticky Bubblegum
(begin this fun chant by 'giving' kids imaginary pieces of gum. Playact  this part.   Ask them to unwrap them, to put them in their mouths, to chew up the gum, and then....ugh...spit it out in their hands.  At this point I always remind them that this is an IMAGINARY game and ask them if they would EVER spit their gum in their hand or stick it in odd places normally...they always say, "NO!")

Sticky, sticky bubblegum (pretend to be stretching gum between hands)
Sticky, sticky bubblegum
Sticky, sticky bubble gum
Stick it (let a child choose a place and 'stick' gum there)
ex:  on your knee, on your head, on your mommy, etc.

UUUUNNNNNSTICK! (remove hand from 'stuck' spot with flair)

Repeat for each child that wants to play.

End with:
Sticky, sticky bubblegum (still stretching the gum)
Sticky, sticky bubblegum
Sticky, sticky bubblegum.
Throw it in the trash! (pretend to throw gum in waste basket)

Note:  to extend the activity, you might ask the children to try to remember some of  the silly places they stuck the gum during the game...

Sticky, Sticky Honey Sweet!

Sticky, sticky honey sweet,
Sticky, sticky honey sweet,
Sticky, sticky honey sweet..
It's stuck right on my...(Have children fill in 'sticky spot.')
WIPE - IT - OFF!
(Repeat with new 'sticky spots' as long as the fun lasts.)

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear
Teddy bear, teddy bear
Turn around.
Teddy bear, teddy bear
Touch the ground.
Teddy bear, teddy bear
Touch your shoe.
Teddy bear, teddy bear
That will do.
Teddy bear, teddy bear
Turn out the light.
Teddy bear, teddy bear
Say goodnight.
